Description
Introducing our highest-demanded product to date, our hive top feeder.
Our hive top feeder is a tub that sits snugly within our medium-sized hive body and features a centre tower and a float. The tower has a textured wall to make it easier for the bees to navigate across, and the float provides a platform for the bees, significantly reducing drownings.
The hive top feeder is removable, so when you don't need to feed, you can use the medium as a honey super.
This feeder also provides space for feeding patties, fondant and other dry feeds directly through the centre cavity.
Max capacity: 15.4L (approx. 4.05 gallons)
Note: For initial pre-orders, the centre tower piece will be shipped from Australia, whereas the tub and the float will be shipped from MO, USA.

I’m truly impressed with the high quality of HiveIQ quality.
I went back to my original feeding method after many drowning bees. Once I receive the tower I will give it another try.
I had a bunch of bees drowned before I realized I was missing a piece. I added some 1/4" hardware cloth on the float hoping to prevent drowning.
Great way to drown bees.
The floating grid has way too much room around the center and seems to bee difficult for the bees to climb up.
I guess I didn't look at the pics very closely. There should bee a cup ladder inverted over the entrance down into the syrup.
I watched bees trying to climb up onto the floater and failing.
I went back today to check and had about 75 bees too many, dead in the syrup.
The center protrusion is going to get comb built up into it. Round top feeders are better and will fit any hive. Sorry.
It fits great, but many bees drown in edges of float. I added some sticks to edges to help. Finger crossed this helps.
